Every wedding that I shoot is a wedding I look forward to shooting; I’ve been blessed to be able to work with some really incredible brides. But then there are weddings like the last wedding from 2016 that will forever hold a special place in my heart. The significance for me, begins years ago when I was 15 years old and started babysitting regularly for a family that had more impact on my life than they may realize.
Joel and Tracy brought home this tiny newborn baby boy, Joseph, on a cold winter morning. I remember her laying him down and smiling because he was the tiniest human being I’d ever seen in real life. Then she did something that stunned even me, she HANDED him to me. And if my memory serves correctly she didn’t give me much choice in the matter. I knew at that moment, one day I wanted one of these tiny squishy baby smelling little things. He was adorable.
Fast forward…a few years…and I find myself emailing with one of the sweetest future brides I’ve ever met. And she’s engaged to Joseph Moore. I think my jaw hit my keyboard because in my mind, Joseph was still 4 years old running around with his siblings and Jack his dog. After summer had melted into fall, their wedding day had come. It was the most beautiful day and I’m so beyond grateful that they asked me to play a part in their day. Joseph and Hannah- I wish you ALL God’s blessings for your life together. I hope you’ll forever look back at your images and smile.
Love Deeply- Kimberly
